Backwash. Electric. No compressed air.

The brigano E-Pool valve replaces the pneumatic rod valve one to one. Same installation dimensions, one cable, safe return on power failure. Developed and manufactured in Switzerland.

Electric instead of pneumatic actuation

Pneumatic, today

  • Compressor, 230 V, 3 to 6 bar
  • Pre-filter
  • Solenoid valve
  • Compressed air hose or control water line
  • Rod valve

5 components, 3 additional sources of failure. Plus installation time, condensate and noise in the plant room.

Electric, brigano

  • E-Pool valve with motor, controller, energy storage and display in the head
  • One cable: 24 V and signal

1 component, 1 cable. Same installation dimensions, same piping, no compressor.

Automatic backwashing today means compressed air or control water

The pneumatic rod valve is robust, but it needs infrastructure. Every component costs money, installation time and space, and every one can fail.

Compressor in the plant roomPurchase, power, noise, condensate. If it fails, nothing backwashes any more.
Solenoid valve and pre-filterClog, scale up, stick. One of the most common causes of faults in automatic backwashing.
Additional installationCompressed air or control water line, fittings, installation unit. More hours on site.
No feedbackThe controller does not know whether the valve has actually switched. Faults are only noticed at service time.
Electric alternatives do not fitMotorised valves have different installation dimensions. No 1:1 replacement for the existing rod valve.
Retrofitting is laboriousAnyone switching from manual to automatic has to buy the whole compressed air infrastructure.

What the brigano E-Pool valve does differently

A complete rod valve with built-in electric drive. The head contains motor, spindle, controller, energy storage and display. It is connected like a pump.

Compressor230 V, 3 to 6 bar Pre-filter Solenoidvalve Rod valve Control line Compressed air hose, condensate, leaks 5 components, 3 extra sources of failure plus installation time and noise in the plant room
Today: compressor, pre-filter, solenoid valve, hoses, valve

brigano: one valve, one cable
Drive head with display and six buttons next to the filter lid
Just one cable24 V DC, supply and signal. Compressor, hoses, pre-filter and solenoid valve are eliminated.
Safe returnBuilt-in energy storage, the drive holds its position without power.
Same installation dimensionsFits existing piping with port spacing of 140, 190 and 230 mm.
Display on the deviceStatus and faults readable directly, manual operation with six buttons, feedback to the controller.
Easy to serviceSeal cartridge, replacement without dismantling the piping. Target: under ten minutes.

brigano pool valve type plate with article number, serial number and QR code

Every valve knows its documents.

The type plate shows article, serial number and a QR code. Scanning it opens the valve's product page: dimension sheet, manuals, spare parts, contact. Always the current version, even in ten years.
